Founder’s Office - Growth

  • Growth
  • Bangalore
  • Full time

About the role

We are looking for someone who is good at marketing, thinks creatively, experiments often, and executes quickly.

You will work closely with the founder on growth and distribution.

This is not a role where you will spend weeks creating marketing plans that never get executed.

You will usually have a clear objective, context, and direction.

Your job is to take that direction, figure out the best way to execute it, move quickly, observe what happens, and improve the next iteration.

A large part of how we work internally is already supported by AI, automation, and systems we have built ourselves.

Research, repetitive operational work, data gathering, workflows, and parts of execution can already be accelerated significantly.

We are not looking for someone to manually do work that our systems can already handle.

We are looking for someone who can use that leverage well.

Someone with good marketing judgment, strong ideas, curiosity, and the ability to turn an idea into something real quickly.

About Upscrape

Upscrape builds the infrastructure companies use to access public web data reliably.

We work across extraction, transformation, monitoring, and delivery through production-grade APIs, across a growing number of platforms and industries.

We have built a strong product and technical foundation. The next focus is distribution.

We want more of the right people to discover Upscrape, understand what we do, and have a reason to remember us.

What you will work on

Depending on current priorities, you may work on things like:

  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns
  • Finding new distribution opportunities for Upscrape
  • Testing different positioning, messaging, and creative angles
  • Growing our presence across search, social, communities, and other relevant channels
  • Launching campaigns around products, platforms, use cases, and new capabilities
  • Developing ideas for founder and company distribution
  • Studying competitors, adjacent companies, and markets for useful patterns
  • Finding partnerships, communities, directories, and ecosystems worth exploring
  • Running small growth experiments and measuring what happens
  • Improving existing marketing workflows and systems
  • Finding unconventional ways to reach the right audience
  • Turning successful experiments into repeatable processes

The exact work will change as we learn.

You will not be expected to independently decide the company’s entire marketing strategy.

There will be clear priorities and direction.

What matters is how well and how quickly you can execute against them.

How we work

Upscrape is highly AI and automation driven internally.

If repetitive work can be automated, systematized, or significantly accelerated with AI, we try to do that.

The goal is not to use AI instead of thinking.

The goal is to spend less time on repetitive work and more time on:

  • Ideas
  • Judgment
  • Creativity
  • Experimentation
  • Distribution
  • Execution

You will have access to the tools, systems, context, and workflows we already use.

We want someone who can take advantage of that leverage rather than falling back to slow, traditional ways of working.

What we are looking for

We care more about how you think and execute than a particular degree or previous job title.

You should have:

  • A good understanding of marketing fundamentals
  • Strong execution ability
  • The ability to move quickly once the objective is clear
  • Curiosity about products, technology, businesses, and distribution
  • The instinct to test ideas instead of endlessly discussing them
  • The ability to come up with ideas rather than only follow instructions
  • Good judgment around messaging, positioning, and creative work
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort using AI and automation as part of everyday work
  • The ability to learn unfamiliar subjects quickly
  • Ownership and follow-through
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to look at results objectively and change direction when something is not working

This role may be a good fit if

  • You constantly notice interesting marketing ideas in the products and companies around you
  • You enjoy figuring out why something worked
  • You naturally think of different ways to distribute the same product
  • You prefer running an experiment over debating an idea for two weeks
  • You can take a rough direction and turn it into something concrete
  • You are comfortable trying things that may not work
  • You like working with powerful tools and figuring out how to get more leverage from them
  • You care about outcomes, not merely completing a list of tasks
  • You work well when the pace is high and priorities evolve

This may not be the right role if you prefer receiving complete step-by-step instructions for every task, want to work within one narrow marketing channel, or are more interested in managing processes than executing and experimenting.

What you will get

  • Direct access to the founder and the work happening across Upscrape
  • Clear priorities without unnecessary layers of management
  • Strong internal AI, automation, research, and execution systems
  • Freedom to propose and test your own ideas
  • The ability to experiment across different distribution channels
  • Real ownership over the work you execute
  • Exposure to product, technology, marketing, positioning, and growth
  • The opportunity to help build Upscrape’s distribution engine from an early stage
  • Responsibility and compensation that can grow with your impact
