Content Marketer

About the role

You’ll own how Upscrape shows up beyond our own website: on LinkedIn, in the communities where developers and data teams talk, and on the lists, directories and newsletters buyers read before they choose a tool. Most teams that need live platform data haven’t heard of us yet. Your job is to change that, and to show which channels bring people in.

This is the first marketing hire focused on distribution. You’ll work directly with the founders, set the weekly rhythm yourself, and own the results from the first post to the numbers behind it.

About Upscrape

Upscrape turns the platforms businesses track into APIs that software and AI agents can call: commerce and grocery apps, social networks, maps and reviews, job boards and ad libraries, more than 50 in all. Every endpoint has a published schema and a fixed price per request, over REST or through MCP for AI clients such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

We’re a small remote team, founded in 2024. Everyone here owns a real part of the company, from the plan to the result.

What you’ll do

  • Run our LinkedIn presence. Company posts, carousels and a steady weekly rhythm. You’ll also help the founders post from their own profiles.
  • Turn what we ship into posts people read. New platforms, real data findings from our own API, short how-tos and product updates, written for the people who buy data, not for other marketers.
  • Get Upscrape listed and mentioned. Software directories, comparison lists, newsletters, curated lists and roundups. Each listing is accurate, complete and kept up to date.
  • Find where our buyers ask for data. Developer and data communities, forums and groups. Plan how we show up there as a useful voice, never as spam.
  • Measure what works. Track where sign-ups and mentions come from, report on it every week, and put more time into the channels that work and less into the ones that don’t.

What we’re looking for

  • You’ve marketed a technical product before: a developer tool, an API or a data product. Show us the posts, launches or campaigns you ran.
  • You write clearly and briefly, and you can explain an API to someone who has never used one.
  • You know LinkedIn: what gets read, what gets ignored, and why.
  • You’re comfortable with numbers. You set a goal, try something, and read whether it worked.
  • You work on your own and follow through without a detailed brief.

Nice to have

  • You’ve grown a company page or a founder’s profile and can show the before and after.
  • You’ve made carousels, short videos or simple graphics yourself.
  • You’ve used AI tools in your own work and know where they help and where they don’t.

What this role isn’t

  • Long technical tutorials and documentation. That’s the Technical Content Writer.
  • Outbound sales messages to prospects. That’s the Business Development Representative.
  • Paid advertising. We don’t run ads yet.
